Web site design has matured, and the herd of ecommerce companies has been thinned

Web site design is finally coming into its own. There are a variety of obviously template based web site and ecommerce designs. There are the high end, high volume web sites that were designed to perform a service for an Internet or “bricks and mortar” business (Amazon and Barnes and Noble for example). There are the obvious home made jobs. What remains are the web sites designed for small and mid sized businesses by the handful of independent web site designers. For 90% of small and mid sized businesses, the most profitable choice for web site design and hosting services is to outsource.
